Eligibility Criteria
This examination is strictly for Internal Applicants already in the Public Service.
- Service Requirement: Candidates must currently be employed in a permanent, pensionable post in the Public Service.
- Experience: Must have completed a specific period of active and satisfactory service (typically 5 to 15 years depending on the current grade and post) in a relevant technical service (e.g., Sri Lanka Technological Service).
- Education: A Degree from a recognized university in a relevant field (Botany, Physics, Agriculture, Engineering, etc.) is required for many of the posts, or equivalent professional experience in the Technological Service.

Examination Details
The selection process consists of a written examination and an interview.

- Subject Related Knowledge: 100 Marks (3 Hours) - 40% Pass mark required.
- Intelligence Test (IQ): 100 Marks (1 Hour) - 40% Pass mark required.
- Exam Fee: Rs. 1,200/- (Payable online).
- Exam Date: Tentatively scheduled for April 2026.
