About SLAASMB
Established under Act No. 15 of 1995, the SLAASMB functions as the sole independent regulator in Sri Lanka responsible for monitoring compliance with Sri Lanka Accounting Standards (SLASs) and Auditing Standards (SLAuSs). Role Overview
The Director Supervision will report directly to the Deputy Director General. This is a strategic position that involves high-level oversight of regulatory activities. The successful candidate will lead teams in reviewing financial statements of Specified Business Enterprises (SBEs) and conducting audit inspections. Qualifications & Experience
Candidates must meet the following professional criteria:
- Professional Qualification: Must be a Corporate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka).
- Experience: A minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience in a managerial capacity. Experience should be in accounting, auditing, financial regulation, or a similar corporate environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Sri Lanka Accounting Standards (SLASs), Auditing Standards (SLAuSs), corporate laws, and global regulatory best practices is essential.
- Age Limit: Preferably below 55 years as at the closing date.

Key Responsibilities
The core duties of this position include:
- Planning, executing, and reviewing the Board's annual regulatory supervision activities.
- Reviewing financial statements of Specified Business Enterprises (SBEs) to ensure strict compliance with SLASs.
- Conducting thorough audit inspections of SBE auditors to verify compliance with SLAuSs.
- Monitoring global and local developments in accounting/auditing regulations and recommending appropriate policy changes.
