The Sri Lanka Accounting and Auditing Standards Monitoring Board (SLAASMB) is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated professional for the post of Director Supervision. This is a permanent position within the senior management team of the sole independent regulator responsible for monitoring compliance with accounting and auditing standards in Sri Lanka.

Qualifications & Experience

Candidates should meet the following requirements:

• Professional Qualification: A Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka).
• Experience: Minimum of 6 years post-qualification experience in a managerial capacity in accounting, auditing, financial regulation, or a similar environment.
• Knowledge: Sound knowledge of Sri Lanka Accounting Standards (SLASs), Sri Lanka Auditing Standards (SLAuSs), corporate laws, and global regulatory best practices.
• Age Limit: Preferably below 55 years as at the closing date.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning, executing, and reviewing the Board's regulatory activities.
• Reviewing financial statements of Specified Business Enterprises (SBEs) for compliance with SLASs.
• Conducting audit inspections of SBE auditors for compliance with SLAuSs.
• Monitoring developments in accounting/auditing regulations and recommending changes.
