The International Organization for Migration (IOM), a related organization of the United Nations, is looking for Migration Health Nurses (MHD) to join their team in Colombo. The successful candidates will support migration health assessments and provide essential nursing care to migrants and refugees.
Job Role: Migration Health Nurse (08 Positions)
Responsibilities include performing daily nursing activities such as checking vital signs, collecting laboratory samples (blood, urine, sputum), administering vaccinations, managing TB cases, and providing pre/post-departure medical briefings and support.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with 03 years of professional experience OR a Diploma in Nursing with 05 years of related work experience.
- Licensing: A valid license (SLMC Reg.) to practice as a Nurse in Sri Lanka.
- Skills: Excellent technical skills including phlebotomy and computer literacy (MS Office). Previous experience in TB management or public health is an advantage.
- Languages: Fluency in English and either Sinhalese or Tamil is required.
Salary & Terms
- Monthly Salary: LKR 243,986.67 (G5 Level).
- Appointment Type: Special Short Term Graded.
- Duty Station: Colombo.
