The Plantation Human Development Trust (PHDT) invites applications from self-motivated and dynamic candidates for the post of Community Development Officer for their Kandy Regional Office. This role involves mobilizing the plantation community to participate in social development programs aimed at enhancing their quality of life.
About PHDT
Established in 1992, PHDT is a trusted organization committed to supporting the plantation community. Through its Main Office in Colombo and seven Regional Offices (including Kandy), it implements sustainable development programs to uplift the living standards of plantation workers.
Job Role: Community Development Officer
The selected candidate will be responsible for mobilizing beneficiaries to actively participate in various social development programs set up on the plantations. Frequent visits to estates within the region are required.

Qualifications & Experience
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Sociology, Social Science, or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience: Not less than 05 years of experience in mobilizing, community development, and social development programs.
- Key Skills:
- Ability to converse in Sinhala & Tamil.
- Experience in the estate sector and exposure to community-based organizations (CBOs) is an advantage.
- Ability to ride a Motorbike is an advantage.
- Residency: Should reside in the region.
