SLIATE Visiting Lecturer Vacancies 2026 – Apply for HND Programmes

The Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education (SLIATE), under the Ministry of Education, is inviting applications for Visiting Lecturers for the 2025 Academic Year - 2nd Semester. Qualified professionals are sought for various subjects within Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes at Advanced Technological Institutes (ATIs) island-wide.

Subject Areas (HND Programmes)

Visiting lecturers are required for the following HND programmes:

• Accountancy (HNDA)
• Business Administration (HNDBA) / Business Finance (HNDBF)
• Engineering (Civil / Electrical & Electronics / Mechanical / Building Services)
• English / Information Technology (HNDIT)
• Food Technology / Agriculture / Quantity Surveying (HNDQS)
• Management / Project Management
• Tourism & Hospitality Management (HNDTHM)

Qualifications & Preferences

• Preference: Degree holders in the relevant field or above qualified persons from the District/Province of the relevant ATI.
• Requirement: Applicants must be willing to deliver lectures and contribute to paper setting and marking.
• Accreditation: Foreign degree holders must attach UGC accreditation.

Approved Payment Rates (Per Hour)

• Degree + PG Diploma/Master's (with 5 yrs exp) / Professionals / Engineers: Rs. 1,000/-
• Basic Degree (more than 5 yrs exp): Rs. 750/-
• Basic Degree (less than 5 yrs exp) OR Teaching Exp (10 yrs without degree): Rs. 500/-
• Teaching Exp (05 yrs without degree): Rs. 350/-

How to Apply

Duly completed applications should be forwarded to the relevant Advanced Technological Institute (ATI) by post and email.

• Step 1: Download the specimen application form from www.sliate.ac.lk.
• Step 2: Send the hard copy via Registered Post to the relevant ATI address (e.g., Colombo, Dehiwala, Kandy, Jaffna, etc.).
• Step 3: Email a copy of the application to visitinglec@sliate.ac.lk.
• Closing Date: 28th February 2026.
• Note: Indicate "Visiting Lecturer Application" on the top left corner of the envelope. Government/Statutory body employees must apply through their Head of Department.
