Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Manager – Umpire Development. This is a prestigious role responsible for planning and implementing umpire education and performance programs to ensure high standards of officiating in Sri Lanka.

Job Role: Manager – Umpire Development

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing national umpire strategies in line with ICC guidelines, managing certification processes, and establishing career pathways for umpires and match referees.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement national umpire development strategies.
• Manage umpire education programs, workshops, and exams.
• Formulate playing conditions and codes of conduct for tournaments.
• Monitor and evaluate umpire performance across domestic and international matches.
• Act as the point of contact between ACC/ICC and SLC for umpire-related matters.

Qualifications & Experience

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A recognized qualification in Sports Management, Education, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Extensive experience in cricket officiating, umpire development, or administration.
  • Experience in training, assessing, or managing umpires at the domestic or international level.
• Knowledge: Sound knowledge of the Laws of Cricket and ICC playing conditions.
• Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
